Kane laughed, "No, but it is rather... different than what us humans are used to." Kane turned and boarded the ship, his head swimming with the facts of Neko's strange form and her immortality.

Kane struggled to take in what was happening and fell backwards. He groaned as his he hit the deck and panted, his heart racing at the sudden shock. "Wha- What..."

Neko leaped off of him and her ears perked as she heard the bullet whizz by, barely missing her head. She turned back to her normal form. "Stay down. We're under attack." he hissed at Kane.

"Thanks for describing this scene! I still don't know what the HELL is happening!" Kane bellowed over the sound of gunshots. Bullets wined by sending Kane on edge. Unlike the stereotypical man of the day, Kane wasn't much of a drinker or a fighter, at least not for the last several years he hadn't even said a word to much of anyone, much less one that would start a fight. But he knew what to do. He started to glance around for something worthy of being hit with a bullet and standing against it. He started to search quickly.

"I'll explain in a minute." Nekowas busy deflecting bullets with her swords and walking forward. She got to the first man and punched him in the gut, hitting him in the head with the hilt of her sword when he doubled over. He fell to the floor, out cold.

Kane reached a long metal object, hoping it would stand up to a bullet, he rushed behind Neko and out from beside her; getting in close he struck the nearest man over he head and moved on to the next one.

Neko stabbed the last one through the stomach as he came up to her, rage iin his eyes. "Kill the one you knocked out." she told Kane. "We need the one I left alive to question."

Kane froze, panting, and looked at Neko. He couldn't. If he had wanted to kill him in the first place he would have. Kane flinched at the sound of the metal stick he was holding as it dropped to the deck. He didn't want to go back to the way he was. He stepped back. He felt vulnerable, terrified, lost. "I... no...no I won't. Can't." He spoke, hearing his own words he could feel his fear swirling into rage. "I know what it feels like to be under a sword. Perhaps you don't know what death feels like because you yourself are immortal, but I've-" Kane's throat closed and he fell to the deck. He couldn't speak of his past. He had been so angry at the order to kill he had forgotten the curse. Kane looked at Neko and fled the deck as the rest of the crew came aboard to see what had been going on.

Neko swiftly dealt with the two men and followed after Kane. When she found him, she just sighed. "I can still die and I've come close more than once. If I hadn't just killed that man, he would go back to whoever his boss is ad they would send more after me. I don't always win fights like this. I've been close to being cut to pieces because I didn't want to kill when I had the chance. I've had people trying to kill me for the past fifty years, ever since they took my sister away."

Kane rubbed his throat. The worst of it had passed, and as he heard Neko say that her sister had been taken, he looked her in the eyes. "So, since you were eight you have been defending your life? That... had to of been rough. I... Im sorry about what happened back there..."

Neko shrugged. "I'm over it. . . . Sort of." she shook her head. "Anyway, it doesn't matter. Just don't freak out like that again. Reminded me of Alexandria and it was seriously freaky."
